教育及工作经历:

1993年获南京大学理学学士学位;

1996年获南京大学理学硕士学位;

1999年获美国爱达荷大学哲学博士学位;

1999-2002年在美国雪城大学和华盛顿大学圣路易斯分校从事博士后研究;

2002年受聘南加州大学助理教授;

2004年受聘于斯坦福大学助理教授并作为骨干成员协助筹建斯坦福大学分子影像中心;

2008年晋升为副教授;

20098月加入美国国立卫生研究院生物医学影像和生物工程国家研究所,担任分子影像学与纳米医学实验室主任,高级研究员;

2012年领衔组建厦门大学分子影像暨转化医学研究中心。

陈小元教授现任Theranostics杂志创刊主编,兼任10多个国际主流专业杂志副主编或编委成员,入选国家自然科学基金委海外杰出青年。

研究领域

主要致力于分子影像学和纳米医学的研究工作,研究范围涵盖核医学分子成像、磁共振成像、光学分子成像、超声分子成像及纳米药物研发,目前实验室所研究的部分具有高亲和力和高特异性的放射性显像剂正在向临床转化。
